1954 – House, Templeogue, Co. Dublin
Architect: Dermot O’Toole
Originally a small rural village outside the city, urban expansion of Dublin during the 1950s and 1960s absorbed Templeogue. The area is now largely all developer-led housing developments, mostly semi-detached. This flat-roofed house, with 3 bedrooms, is unusual for the time and area as it incorporates outdoor space into its plan, a roof top terrace, covered and uncovered on the upper floors. Believed to be the house known as Lios Mhuire.
