1958 – House, Leixlip, Co. Kildare

Sited on columns, possibly due to a flood plain position on the river Liffey near Leixlip, the main body of the house has a walkout balcony. An interesting approach to the design, as with its hipped roof profile, it is essentially a bungalow on stilts. Described as the assistant in charge, Raymond F. MacDonnell went on to work on numerous houses as a practitioner in his own right.
