1967 – Former Tayto Factory, Coolock, Dublin
Architect: David W. Cronin
A fantastic Brutalist offices and factory building of odd angles, ramps, and distinct geometric forms – most obviously from the aerial photograph. Later expansion filled in some of these spaces. After designing some striking Irish industrial buildings, the architect David Cronin left Ireland, and eventually left architecture, becoming a barrister in the UK. The factory closed in 2005 and awaits a new use.
