2025 – Sadler’s Wells Dance Theatre, Stratford, London

This dance theatre contains an adaptable 550-seat theatre designed for mid-scale dance productions with six additional studios. Opened in 2025, as part of a new cultural and education district in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

During the consultation process, the public expressed opinions in support of the building reflecting the industrial heritage of the site. As a result, the architects designed the building with saw-tooth style rooflines that take inspiration from local warehouses and factories. These are used to flood the rehearsal studios with lots of natural light and air. Brick, concrete and hardwood floors create an industrial feel, while large windows offer views into the life of the building, as well as out across the Park.
