The overall aim of this project wass to create a Great Public Space for the people of Cavan. This building, completed in late 2005 replaced an outdated and inadequate Central Library. The ground floor of the new building offers a state-of-the-art Central Library with well over three times the floor area of the old library, and a much improved range of services. An Exhibition/Community Space is an intrinsic element of the new Central Library and at over 65 square metres will provide an mulit-purpose arts space.
