1995 – Puente de la Exposicion, Valencia, Spain
Architect: Santiago Calatrava
Known popularly as “La Peineta” (the hairdo) for its unusual form, this bridge was designed with a 14 metre high inclined arch that stretches from one side to the other. A variant of this theme was later built in Dublin, the James Joyce Bridge.
