1983 – East Stand, Lansdowne Road Stadium, Dublin

Replacing the old East Stand which was constructed in 1927, the new East Stand cost £4 million and held thirteen thousand providing ten thousand extra seats over the previous capacity. From the rear the stand had an impressive cantilevered concrete structure. An enclosed concourse to the rear of the upper seats of the lower level was later added. The last game in the old Lansdowne Road Stadium was a rugby match that took place on 31 December 2006. Demolition of the stadium began in May 2007.
