1980 – The Roadstone book of House Designs #10
Published from The Roadstone book of House Designs, produced in 1980. Billed as “A guide to building your own home with 25 new house designs by Reg Chandler, Des Doyle, Arthur Gibney, Ray MacDonnell, and Allan O’Regan. Described as “very distinctive house has as its principal feature a clearly defined spine wall finished externally and internally in exposed aggregate split block. The plan of the house is organised on either side of this wall. Over the living area iis a visible timber raftered roof allowing a generous and lofty ceiling height with the separating partitions going up to door height, only. On the bedroom side there is an even larger roof space capable of accommodating further bedrooms – a generous two doubles and bathroom in addition to the present three doubles and one single. The living are has a spacious kitchen with a dining area, a dining room and a lounge. There is a separate garage and utilites area across a courtyard. The exterior is of white rendered blocks with dark stained windows and timber sheeting between the windows. Exposed roof joist ends are painted white.”
