1979 – Wellington Arms, 277 Wellington Crescent, Winnipeg
Smart terrace of attractive townhouses in front of a nineteen-storey high-rise apartment building, all with strong geometric lines. The taller block has a distinctive roofline comprised of triangular ends with a long central beam, very similar to their work at Bromley Square in Calgary completed in 1980. The front facades of both buildings utilise occasional solid balcony walls instead of railings to subdivide the façade into smaller elements visually. Wellington Arms was designed as an upmarket property with a seasonal outdoor pool and deck area, and interior facilities such as a whirlpool, gym, and sauna. In Calgary, IKOY itself was the developer, and the 31-storey complex featured 396 apartments, office space, and a recreation centre.
