Large scale plan for a new town centre of the planned town of Shannon. In the early 1960s an Outline Development Plan by Downes, Meehan & Robson Architects in association with town planner Frederick Rogerson, proposed an overall scheme for the development of a “town” made up of several neighbourhoods and an area designated for a town centre at Shannon.
