Replacing a church constructed in 1802, this church was dedicated on 2nd May 1971 by the local bishop. An unusual plan, seven arms projecting from a central polygon – the altar is sited in the centre, underneath a pyramidal roof clad in timber. The arm behind the altar contains a sacristy and parish offices over several levels. At the end of each arm there are floor to ceiling stained-glass windows. Externally the gable wall between those windows are finished with a sculptural design executed in concrete.
