A house designed by Ronald Tallon, as a family home, in steel and glass, that was awarded the RIAI triennial housing medal for 1971-73. It is a Miesian pavilion modelled after the Ludwig Mies van der Rohe designed Farnsworth House of 1945-51. Key attributes such as the compact rectilinear plan form on piloti with the steel work framing sliding glass curtain walls, and the flat roofline all indictive of these influences. In the late 1990s, a study was added on the west side of the house, which opens onto the garden area. The new study continues the original design in all its aspects with the terrace, sliding windows and aluminum frames, but set back to respect the original design of the house.
