1970 – Aghadoe Heights Hotel, Killarney, Co. Kerry

Started as a bar and restaurant in 1967 which was an instant success due to its location and views. Extended and later turned into an hotel with 45 bedrooms in 1970. The image is from a postcard, perhaps reflecting an architectural drawing of the 1970 hotel extension. Described as having 55 bedrooms in 1981, so clearly quite busy, with further extension having occurred. The hotel has been remodelled since and is unrecognisable from the drawing.
