1969 – Former Library, Monaghan, Co. Monaghan

Former library with cantilevered concrete stairs to public offices above. Originally a L-shaped plan, the interior featured three distinct areas – one raised by several steps from the main area was a reference library, while another lowered from the main area by a few steps was the children’s area. There was also a small courtyard to the rear which was viewed from inside by floor to ceiling windows. The courtyard has been filled in for more space, and the original glazing replaced.
