1968 – Concept for Shopping Centre, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin

Unbuilt scheme for shopping centre and hotel, and new cinema on the site of the former Adelphi cinema in Dun Laoghaire. Over the years several concepts were proposed for this site. Refused planning permission in 1969 by the Minister for Local Government after receiving outline planning permission from the borough council. “The reason given for refusal was the proposal was premature in so far as it would require the demolition of good quality residential accommodation in an area where there is a housing shortage”. A later proposal in 1972 was also refused.
