1968 – Church of the Holy Spirit, Limekiln Lane, Greenhills, Dublin

Architect: Peppard & Duffy

A striking example of mid 20th century church design, a trapezoidal plan with an eye-catching roofline and bell tower. The exterior walls are one storey high, with the enormous copper-clad roof swooping down to the viewer in a series of overlapping planes. Stained glass between the overlaps illuminates the interior. The main façade is a concrete grid filled with modern stained glass by Richard Joseph King (1907-74).
