The original two low pavilions of yellow brick, glass, and exposed steel structure as designed by Ronald Tallon of Michael Scott & Partners, later Scott Tallon Walker. Extended many times but in the same style, remaining stylistically coherent. The pavilions are connected by slightly lower linkages creating a continuous façade to the visitor.

Established in 1951, the Central Remedial Clinic (CRC) is a voluntary organisation and national charity working with children and adults with disabilities.
