1967 – Hainault House, St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin
Architect: Stephenson Gibney & Associates

One of a threesome of office buildings from the 1960s that replaced a number of Georgian houses on the south side of the Green. Its neighbours were replaced in 2007 and 2015. Hainault House was originally houses Nos. 69-71. It was finished in pre-cast aggregate panels over a recessed ground floor behind sculptural concrete columns. Externally the building wass in better condition than many of its era in Dublin, but deeply unfashionable. Interior specifications have changed a lot for office accommodation since its construction, and it was demolished in 2017.
