1965 – Trident Hotel, Kinsale, Co. Cork

Originally the site of an 18th-century Royal Navy Dockyard, the Trident Hotel Kinsale was built in the 1960s. Constructed to be modern, light, and airy, with a bold horizontal emphasis, it featured a double height space overlooking the harbour. Over the years, the ground level has been filled in and an extra floor added. The stone-built area contains entertainment areas including conference and wedding facilities as well as a bar and restaurant.
