1965 – Buchanan School, Winnipeg, Manitoba
Architect: Pratt Lindgren Snider Tomcej and Associates
Beautiful rendering on a sprawling single storey elementary school almost on the western edge of Winnipeg. Remarkably the school still looks very similar today. Two large blocks with sparse windows, are linked by a glazed entrance lobby with exits to both sides. It is beside Hedges Middle School constructed a few years later by the same architects.
