1964 – Regency Towers, Central Park, Winnipeg
Architect: John A MacDonald
At the time of its construction in 1964, Regency Towers was Winnipeg’s tallest structure with twenty-one floors. The developers also boasted that it was Canada’s largest apartment building, with 407 units of a mixture of sizes. Also known as Central Park Towers, the building was well enough thought of to be included on postcards. It included a food store, a swimming pool and communal facilities.
