1964 – Atlantic Hotel, Kilkee, Co. Clare
Large 95-bedroom hotel on the Atlantic coastline built by a Dutch company and financed by Irish Life and Bord Failte. Wrecked by vandals in 1975 after it closed, it was renovated in mid 1978 after being sold by Irish Life. Never a particular success financially, it finally closed in the 1990s and has since been demolished.
