Built by Andrew Devane of Robinson Keefe Devane as a family home for himself. This was a stunning modern house on a magnificent site overlooking Dublin bay, perched on 300 foot high cliffs. Devane bought Journey’s End Lodge a small cottage on a glorious, wilderness site in Baily for £3600 in 1948. Eventually the family sold up, and the house has gone through different ownerships. The building, has sadly, been heavily altered since the late 1970s.

The photographs, shown here are of the house in its heyday, are copyright of David Davison and used with his permission thanks to the Devane family.
