Analysis labs and extended facilities at the Teagasc complex at Johnstown Castle. The centre conducts research on soils, nutrient efficiency, recovery and losses; air and water quality; the agricultural environment and agro-ecology. Appropriately the architect Sidney Maskell was a well-known gardener and later President of the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland. A low building with clerestory windows, walls finished in stained larch and rubble stone endwall features.
