Small modernist bank, the southernmost of a row of three buildings from the 1950s and 60s on Smith Street. Later converted for other use by inserting a second floor into the double-height banking hall. The architect John A. Chivers (1909-2004) was the son of Cyril Chivers, partner in Northwood & Chivers.
