Elegant modernist shopfront with glass display boxes allowing the maximum amount of product to be displayed to the passersby. Once a substantial chain of shoe shops, at one time the extended family ran tanneries, produced shoes in several factories under various brand names around the country. They even owned a village, Mullan Mills in Co. Monaghan when they purchased a boot factory in 1944 that came with a workers village.
