1957 – Morrissey’s Auctioneers, Merrion Street, Dublin

Small office building designed by Patrick H. Corcoran, for Morrissey’s Auctioneers in 1956-7. Unusually for buildings around this time, the stairwell has less glazing rather than more. The horizontal banding above and below the windows is finished in a simple mosaic pattern of black and white tiles. The end walls were plain blockwork. Demolished circa 2019.
