1956 – Our Lady of Victory, Osborne Street, Winnipeg
Architect: Roy Sellors
Established as a parish in 1946 following the Second World War, masses were mainly celebrated in the St. Mary’s cemetery chapel until the blessing of the church in 1954. The interior is more interesting than the relatively plain, and cheap to construct, exterior. A traditional cruciform plan with a top lit sanctuary area at the crossing. The Stations of the Cross are of a continuous design along the nave walls. Described as a victory church, at the rear, a plaque with stones from battlefields in Hong Kong, Ortona, Cassino, and Caen can be found alongside a Book of Remembrance.
