Designed by Jack O’Hare who was the second Irish architect to apprentice under Frank Lloyd Wright at Taliesin arriving shortly after Andrew Devane had departed. The house was commissioned by Dr Dermot Roden for a site off Killiney Hill Road, enclosing an old driveway leading to a Victorian house. Due to the needs of the clients, O’Hare produced a design containing seven bedrooms that is cantilevered over a carport, The daytime living accommodation is to the eastern side of the house with spectacular views over the bay.

Shane O’Toole has written a more expansive piece on the house here.
