Architect: Patrick Hamilton, Michael Scott Architects

0029

Small office building attached to a larger warehouse behind. Designed by Patrick Hamilton who worked in Michael Scott’s office at this time. Stewarts & Lloyds was a steel tube manufacturer with its headquarters in Glasgow. When the UK steel industry was nationalised for the second time, the company became part of the British Steel Corporation in 1967. The office portion of the building still stands today with the warehouse demolished.
