1953 – Chapel, Sisters of Charity Convent, Blackrock, Co. Dublin

Part of an extension to the convent at Rockfield, Blackrock. The sanctuary to the chapel is very similar in design to their chapel at Rossnowlagh friary of around the same time – the slight curvature of the ceiling and lit by setback side windows that are hidden from the nave. When the friary was very simple, monastic you might say, the chapel here has a modern interpretation of a reredos
