1948 – Former Roches Stores, O’Connell Street, Limerick,

A fine corner building, but stylistically old-fashioned by the time of its construction. The corner entrance has a a double-height polished limestone surround. The facades feature stepped stylised Doric piers with fluted capitals, rising from first to third floor level. Constructed for Roche’s Stores – later bought out by UK chain Debenhams. Closed. Planning has been granted to convert the building into an apart-hotel.
