1936 – No.4 Kildare Street, Dublin

Architect: Frederick Hayes

Originally constructed in 1748, the current limestone front was added in 1936 by Frederick Hayes, for the Refuge Assurance Company. Now in use as offices for National Library, it apparently retains its original interior and layout to the present day. Finished in two stone, Ballinasloe limestone cladding to the first floor level, and Carlow fossil limestone cladding above. Interesting doorway with Art Deco styling.
