Still extant today, with its distinctive Burton logotype on both facades, and over a doorway on Patrick Street. A stripped classical design with a meander or fret cornice in a glazed faience tile. Described as “handsome” in the Waterford Standard, July 25 1931. Some Burton’s stores had teetotal billiard rooms or ballrooms on an upper floor, this Waterford store had the Astoria Ballroom overhead.
