1930s – Unbuilt Transporter Bridge, Dublin
Engineer: Joseph Mallagh

A proposal by Joseph Mallagh, Engineer to the Dublin Port and Docks Board. His work included the reconstruction of Alexandra Quay (1921-31) and the rebuilding of Butt Bridge (1929-32).
This design was proposed to cost over 160,000 and the gondolas were designed to carry 16 vehicles or 700 pedestrians at a time. It was to be sited near the entrance to Spencer Dock.
