Unbuilt design, selected after an architectural competition, for a war memorial and small plaza at Euston Place in Leamington Spa.
Published in The Building News, December 19, 1919: “The design submitted by Mr. T. Llewelyn Daniel, A.R.I.B.A.. of 204, Cranbrook Eoad, Ilford, Essex, has been chosen for the war memorial to be erected at Leamington Spa. The referee was Mr. H. V. Ashley, F.R.I.B.A. There were 26 designs submitted, and the premiums were £100, £50, and £25. The winners of the second prize are Messrs. J.R. Leathart and E.B. Webber, 35, Canterbury Road, S.W., and the third prize was awarded to Mr. J. Harold Hughes, A.R.I.B.A., 7, Queen’s Road, Aberdeen.”
