1919 – The Hunter Building, 56 O’Connor Street, Ottawa, Canada
Architect: Richard C. Wright, Chief Dominion Architect
Demolished in 1982, had the distinction of being the Public Works Department’s first fully modern purpose built office building in Ottawa and intended as an efficient workplace for civil servants. It was nine stories above the sidewalk level, and cost approximately a million and a half dollars.
