Built as offices for La Caixa de Pensions, now CaixaBank. The Casal del Ahorro (together with the adjacent building, the Casal de la Previsión, built a few years later by the same architect) is one of many banks built by the architect for the same client across Catalonia Designed in a picturesque neo-Gothic, many oof the elements used here, such as the scabbled stone ornamentation, were used across the branch network, creating a corporate image of solidity.
