1915 – Former Canadian Northern Railway Station, Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada

Classic Canadian Northern Railway station based on the design language created by Ralph B. Pratt, and designed by Irish architect John Schofield. Although Schofield primarily worked in Manitoba and “Central Canada”, he did design three stations in the ‘frontier west’, located in Estevan, SK, Hope and Chilliwack in BC. Each of the three stations Schofield designed in Western Canada was essentially identical in appearance to the others. This type of design was often reserved for small rural towns in early Canada, and was identified by its living quarters for the agent, located on the second floor. Demolished.
