1914 – Second Premiated Entry in Belfast City Art Gallery Competition

Later chief assistant to James Miller from 1918, Gunn was only twenty-five when he finished second in the architectural competition to design an Art Gallery and Museum for Belfast. The First World War delayed construction of the winning design and only one portion of that ambitious scheme was completed, opened in 1929.
