Impressive residence in an Elizabethan style with half-timbering, multi-paned windows, steeply pitched roofline with cross gables and dormers, and delightfully massive chimneys. The architect John N. Semmens specialised in institutional buildings including many schools for the Winnipeg Public School Board and consulted for the Salvation Army for Western Canada.
