1914 – Canadian Bank of Commerce, Barrie, Ontario, Canada
Architect: Victor Daniel Horsburgh
“The street front of the bank at Barrie, Ontario, is faced with a very light unglazed cream terra cotta. The jointing in this case is close and accurate far beyond what is usually expected in this nuiterial. This building is roofed with red tile.”
An imposing and impressive yet small scake branch at 46 Dunlop Street, designed to be a reassuring presence. Demolished in the 1970s.
