1913 – Former Normal School, Brandon, Manitoba
Architect: Victor Horwood
Designed by provincial architect Victor Horwood and constructed between 1912 and 1913. It was one of four Normal Schools, teacher-training institutions, built in Manitoba. The others were St. Boniface (1903), Manitou (1904, demolished), and Winnipeg (1905-1906). The building is classical in style with a decorated pediment which presides over the north facade. In 1946, the building was given to the Manitoba Department of Agriculture and Immigration and is still used as office space for the provincial government today.
