1912 – Saint Margaret’s Anglican Church, Ethelbert Street Winnipeg
Architect: David W. Nichols & James P. West
Both architects were born in England with Nichols apprenticing as a draftsman with Burke & Horwood in Toronto, and West previously working in South Africa. They only worked together on a couple of projects. Very much in the style of Anglican churches being built in the new suburbs in the United Kingdom – brick in a simplified Norman Gothic. The interior is quite lovely with aisles, box pews, and fine original light fittings.
