1911 – St. Colman’s Church, Claremorris, Co. Mayo
Architect: Rudolph Maximilian Butler
Like so many ambitious church builds across the country, St. Colman’s never received the intended tower and spire. Designed in an gothic style by R. M. Butler, and built between 1904 and 1911. The interior has a polygonal apse, each side of which has a trinity of lancet windows. Much of the interior fittings survive although the sanctuary has been reordered. There is a good selection of stained glass by Joshua Clarke and the later Harry Clarke Studios.
