1910 – Greenway School, St. Matthews Avenue, Winnipeg, Canada
Architect: J.B. Mitchell
Demolished in 1997, but when constructed the school was the largest in Winnipeg, designed to hold over 1,000 students. Mitchell was an influential figure in Canadian school design through his interest in fire safety. Cost over $88,000. The replacement building is a striking work in a postmodern style.
