Officially the Church of St. Louis, King of France, this was the third site of worship established by the French Canadians in the river town of St. Paul. Designed by renowned French architect Emmanuel Masqueray, who designed structures with more grandeur, such as the Cathedral of St. Paul, historians believe that he was particularly fond of the building he called his “little gem.”
