1906 – Central Signal Cabin, Waterford, Co. Waterford
The large Waterford Central signal cabin is the only elevated signal cabin left in Ireland. Constructed in 1906 when the station was known as Waterford North, it sits across the one remaining running line. It was positioned to give a view over the station when it had more lines and trains passing through. Destroyed by fire 1st December 1922 during the Civil war but rebuilt to the same design. No longer in use.
