1905 – Hose Tower, London Road Fire Station, Manchester, Lancashire
Architect: Woodhouse, Willoughby & Langham
The fire station opened in 1906 and was the centre of the fire service, ambulance service, police and coroners court for 80 years before its closure in 1986. Entered onto the English Heritage Buildings at Risk Register in 2001. Published in The Building News, May 26th 1905.
