The local council secured the land in Raikes Parade with the idea of establishing a technical school, but the project stalled. They then decided on combining it with a secondary school, Opened in 1906, it became officially “Blackpool Grammar School” in 1933. Finished externally in red brick and buff stone. Now home to the Salvation Army.
